shana shivel

Welcome! I am Shana Shivel, owner of PresLeigh Designs. I provide homeowners with interior design as well as remodeling design to make their home a perfect fit for their lifestyle and taste.

I grew up around very creative ladies; moving quite a bit and watching my Mom design and build homes from the ground up, as well as transform interiors through her imagination and creative eye.

Both of my grandmother’s were very creative-one owning a furniture company and the other a very skilled DIY’er!

My career took me from graphics and marketing to special events, always leaving time for my love of interiors though renovating and building our homes.

I love the process of working with skilled artisans-carpenters, furniture makers, painters-to make spaces for clients special and unique.

My favorite part is transforming a tired, dated space into something special for the homeowner.

I want each client to feel their space is a reflection of their personal style while also providing unexpected details to make each space truly feel special and unique.

All the years of designing with projects big and small, remodeling and new construction, created a dream in me to provide design services that take the stress out of the design process, making it as smooth as possible for each client. 

At PresLeigh Designs, we have a preference for a modern southern style and love bold pops of color.

Karol Hollis

We are so glad you are here! I love getting to know you in order to customize your design to best suit your style. It isn’t my goal to make your house look like me, but for it to feel like you and bring a smile to your face daily. We often find that people just aren’t quite sure how to bring a space together, or take it to the next level. When you want to elevate and add layers, that’s our specialty.

I am a certified True Color Expert. My training and experiences are tools I refer to daily. When you stand in front of the wall of color chips and get overwhelmed, or read one more post about which is the best white paint color, let us help you navigate before you spend money on painting. A color consultation is a little investment that goes a long way and makes a huge impact in getting it just right for your home.

We have extensive experience and resources for window treatments. We can guide you through different options considering privacy needs and design.

We work with talented craftsmen and women who help bring our designs to reality. Our referrals are people we have experience with and would want in our own homes. We value our relationships highly with our skilled tradespeople.

The best time is spending time with family and friends who are like family. I love a kitchen full of my favorite people doing life with good food and hopefully good wine. I love traveling and new experiences. Working hard, laughing hard, relaxing and enjoying life’s blessings makes for pretty sweet days.

I am creative by nature. I thrive on having ways to express myself with people, with cozy spaces, with painting my favorite places and cooking for others. I look for opportunities to learn from reading, from places, from spaces and the people around me. I’m usually making plans, researching upcoming trips or learning about how to make something happen.
